WHERE TO GO FOR HELP CONTENT

Much of the work in this course is in individual groups during a longer course group project. Groups will be assigned after the drop date, on Jan 12, 2020.  The answer to the same question might have different answers!  Please discuss it within your group.  Then ask your assigned grader.  If you have questions about the course expectations or requirements then please ask your grader or the instructor.

  • The instructor information is here: Instructor Contact Information & Communications Policy
  • The instructor's email address is philipp.jordan@oregonstate.edu
  • Instructor and TA office hours are on demand (that means you have to ask).
  • Many questions are specific to the group's project so please ask them for help!
  • I do not plan to offer regular virtual office hours as per my experience, students' schedules do not work well with a specific time/day for an online office hour.
  • If you want to schedule a virtual zoom meeting with me or one of the TAs, please reach out.
  • You can also ask questions on Piazza.  The link is on the navigation tab on the left and the TAs and me will check Piazza on a daily basis and strive to reply within 24 hours.
  • I like to use slack for quick questions and informal discussions as it is an immediate and direct way to communicate with you.

TOOL CONTENT

  • The work in this course produces design and requirements documents, and diagrams.  In addition, you will produce static and dynamic prototypes.
  • Your group can choose the tool(s) which best enables you to produce these products.  The final prototype must be interactive, i.e. it must include links for controls to show the next screen.  Once you understand the project requirements you can decide for yourselves.
  • Everyone must be able to access the tool(s).  Some group members might have access to a custom tool through their work.  But if it requires a company account to access it then please do not use it.  The project should be produced by everyone.
  • Find here a list of prototyping tools for the course: Prototyping Tools for the Project
