Welcome to the Virtual and Augmented Reality course!

This interdisciplinary course is designed to provide you with both the fundamental knowledge and practical skills needed to design immersive and interactive virtual and augmented reality experiences. Our main focus will be on creating a satisfying immersive and interactive experience by teaching you how to build a VR/AR User Experience and the necessary skills to implement realistic, interactive, and immersive VR/AR applications.

Throughout this course, you will learn about the basic concepts, terminology, and applications of virtual and augmented reality, including how to design human-centric virtual reality environments that are accessible and inclusive for users with different needs. You will also gain hands-on experience with different 3D input and output methods, including hand and body tracking, haptic feedback, and virtual reality headsets, among others.

We will be using Oculus Quest 2 for project development. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to experience Oculus Quest Pro, and Oculus Quest 3 .

This course is designed for those with no or little previous experience in virtual and augmented reality and is open to students from all disciplines. I encourage you to bring your ideas, creativity, and curiosity, and to participate actively in the course to achieve your academic goals.
