AI has Entered the Chat: Promise, Peril, and the Future of Writing in Higher Ed

WIC hosted Dr. S. Scott Graham from the University of Texas-Austin, who gave this talk on writing and generative AI. He highlights potential benefits and drawbacks of AI use, and shares ways that instructors might employ large language models (LLMs) as an electronic pedagogical resource in the writing classroom, as well as tips for designing assessments that facilitate students’ learning about the writing process. Navigating the Classroom of Tomorrow: Exploring the Role of AI in Higher Education

Dr. Inara Scott, member of the OSU AI Task Force committee, facilitated a collaborative discussion of the possibilities and pitfalls of AI in promoting equitable teaching in the Inclusive Excellence @OSU program's Fall 2023 Faculty, Food, and Fun event.
