We are excited to introduce Microsoft Copilot for the web, a game-changing tool that allows you to harness the power of artificial intelligence (AI) for your daily tasks. Copilot ensures our data is protected and safeguarded against unauthorized access. Whether you're analyzing data, enhancing your learning, or seeking inspiration, Copilot is your go-to AI tool at OSU.

What is Copilot for the Web?
Microsoft Copilot for the web serves as your AI-powered companion, readily available through any web browser. This AI web-based assistant is designed to help you with a wide range of tasks, from drafting emails to creating professional summaries and helping generate presentation content. Copilot for the web is built on advanced generative AI technologies. It utilizes GPT-4 for its language understanding and generation capabilities, and DALL-E 3 for creating images from text descriptions. Importantly, it differs from Copilot for 365, which requires an additional license and is integrated within Microsoft 365 applications for a seamless professional experience.

Data Protection and Privacy
Data security and privacy is essential within our university. That's why OSU students, faculty, and staff have access to this Data Protected version of Copilot. By logging in with your OSU account, Copilot provides data protection, ensuring your conversations are secure and that Microsoft cannot access your data or be used to train its AI model.
