Speaker Bio

David grew up in Keizer, Oregon and attended Oregon State University (OSU) where he received a master’s degree focused on asphalt pavement and tack coat research for the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). He has over 7 years of combined experience in civil engineering. After OSU, David began work on transportation projects in the Eugene, Oregon office. David is experienced in project delivery, utility coordination, roadway design, roadside safety improvements, and pavement preservation and rehabilitation.

Sam grew up in Roseburg, Oregon but has moved around the western states since heading to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo after high school. Starting with a brief stint designing subdivisions at a firm in southern Oregon, Sam has over 16 years of combined experience in civil engineering. After almost 10 years working in Seattle as a consultant for private developers on both residential and commercial projects, Sam most recently took on a new role managing publicly financed transportation projects out of our Eugene, Oregon office. Whether it be site design for an urban high-rise or traffic control on a rural highway, Sam keys in on critical issues at every stage of design and construction, relying on his excellent communication skills to deliver successful project outcomes for both client and user.
