Do you know how to navigate Canvas?
Understanding the primary features of Canvas will help you in both course design and teaching. Although it's not a requirement to complete this Optional Module before moving forward in this workshop you will want to take time, sooner rather than later, to familiarize yourself with the Canvas basics discussed here.
Module Learning Objectives
In this module, we describe how to get started with Canvas.
By the end of this module, we hope you will be able to:
- Navigate the Canvas interface.
- Set up your Canvas notifications and profile.
- Use the Canvas Inbox for course communication.
- Create Canvas Modules, Pages, Discussions, Assignments, and Quizzes and use the Rich Content Editor to add text, insert links, and embed media.
- Set up a Zoom meeting in Canvas and share it with your students
- Get help with Canvas and other OSU-supported instructional technologies.
