Purpose
When you move to remote or blended instruction, it's easy to get excited by the many learning technology tools that are at our fingertips today! This activity aims to help you plan and reflect on what tools will be essential to your course, how you will use them intentionally, and how students can be supported if it is their first time using a tool.
Instructions
Please plan to spend about 10 minutes on this activity.
If you are attending a workshop scheduled for your college, you will complete these activities in preparation for a synchronous session with the Keep Teaching team. If you are exploring this workshop on your own, complete the activity and then schedule a time to meet with one of your support resources if you have follow-up questions or need assistance in your planning.
Choose one of your fall term courses to focus on for this activity.
- Please download and view (or print) the "Intentional Tech" Activity Worksheet Download "Intentional Tech" Activity Worksheet. On this worksheet, you'll list any technology that students will use in your course; exclude tools that you will use and your students will not.
- For each item, you'll need to identify:
- The tech tool name
- It's purpose in your course
- The frequency of its use
- If it is OSU-supported, and how students will be supported with questions or issues
- Canvas and Zoom have been added as partial examples.
