Links and Embedded Content

When creating content in Canvas, faculty can place links to materials directly in the content and embed videos directly into the page. These can help tie course content together and help students stay focused on the course. Use the instructions below to learn more.

Discussions and Groups

For large courses, you may want to break up the class into smaller groups for more manageable discussions. To achieve this in Canvas, you must first create student Groups in Canvas. It is easiest to create these groups randomly. Additionally, since groups are static after they have been formed, it is best to wait until after the add/drop date for the term has passed before creating your groups.
